Using Web Dissect
English, Portuguese and German websites
English is the source version. Open Site Languages, choose a built page and Portuguese or German, then press Translate page. Each request translates one page into one language; it uses AI credits.
- Review every text entry alongside the English wording. Change any wording, save a draft, or approve for export.
- Portuguese uses European Portuguese; German uses German as used in Germany.
- Page translation changes visible wording, image descriptions and page descriptions, not scripts, styles, links or claim identifiers.
- Graphic language versions reads wording printed inside a stored graphic, suggests Portuguese or German wording, and lets you correct it before generating an edited graphic. The English original stays untouched. AI image editing uses credits and can alter fine details: inspect the result, then approve it for export. Draft, rejected and out-of-date graphics are never used in exports; the original is the fallback.
- Language graphics are saved separately per source image and language. Approved versions fill the matching language's image slots in previews, ZIPs and GitHub exports, including manually pinned images. Choose the replacement image itself if a global replacement is in use. Raster PNG/JPEG/WebP/GIF inputs are supported; convert vector or unsupported graphics to a stored raster copy first.
- Use the UK, Portugal and Germany flag buttons to preview each saved website version without regenerating it. Unsaved wording edits do not change the saved preview. Missing or out-of-date versions are marked unavailable.
- If the source page or its export headline/description changes, the old translation is excluded from exports. Rebuild and approve it again.
- Only approved, current translations are included in ZIP downloads and GitHub pushes. English stays at the root, Portuguese under pt/ and German under de/.
- A flag-and-language menu at the top of each exported page links to its available saved translations. Links fall back to English when the destination has no translation.
- Failed requests show the reason and are never automatically retried. Restore credits or access before requesting a new translation.
- Site Versions stores named whole-site copies of the original baseline or redesigned pages, including a chosen design direction. Each save creates another version; it never replaces an earlier one. The selected images are copied into that version so later library changes cannot replace them.
- Select a saved version, page and flag to review English, Portuguese or German. Translate saved pages individually, edit their wording and approve for export. Current approved redesign translations are copied when their English source matches; approvals for one saved version do not change another.
- Download saved version exports that selected version with its approved language pages. The ordinary Site Export page still exports the latest working redesigns. New captures retain complete original HTML; older captures with a truncated original are marked incomplete and require a new capture before translation. Original screenshots remain available separately.
- Saved original previews preserve the captured wording and available layout; they are not restored running applications. Original external styles, fonts or services can still depend on their source website. The stored screenshot remains the visual evidence of that capture.
These translate exported websites independently of your Web Dissect app language. Review translations before publishing; translation does not increase a claim's evidence score.
